WomanLifeFreedom Necklace

For decades, gender inequality and discrimination against women have been legally enshrined in Iran. Woman Life Freedom became the nations’s slogan after Mahsa Jina Amini’s killing, who died in police custody after being arrested by “morality police” for failing to properly cover her hair. 

This isn’t one of my designs. A graphic designer has generously allowed me to turn it into jewellery without getting royalty. Our only goal is to spread the message as wide and far as possible. Woman Life Freedom is a wholesome message that has inspired people all around the world. Women’s rights are human rights and people of all genders are chanting it shoulder to shoulder.

No profit has been added for WomanLifeFreedom collection. If you like, please make a gift to University of Toronto’s The Iranian Community Scholars at Risk Award directly. It supports undergraduate and graduate students who are, or have been within the last five years, asylum-seekers or refugees anywhere in the world (regardless of status in Canada) or whose current or proposed program of study has been impacted by changing political environments in their country of current or future study, including changes in immigration law. Gifts will be matched 1:1 while matching funds remain.
